Author Your Blog Content with Google

You can now make sure that any content you write on your website or Blog remain yours and maintain you as the original author.
A small piece of HTML code called rel=”author” allows you to be known as the original author of an article. The extended benefits from doing this go beyond simply discouraging people to pinch your lovingly written article. As we all know, humans are attracted to faces and in the search results above the image stands out and is more inviting than the other results. You need to have a Google+ account to set all this up. You can then also use the new Google author stats to check your profile. You can build your Google+ circles and connections. The guys over at Social Media Examiner have a more in depth article on how to set this up. If you want to discuss this with us or any other aspect of SEO for SME’s then call Jason on 0113 288 8522

There is also a video from Google explaining all about it.
